The first snow

So last night was the first snow fall over Hazard, KY.  It was kind surreal actually.  We went bowling at about 7pm, as is the norm for a Thursday night (178,167,177 for a 522 series. For anyone who cares) and it was barely dusting on the way over.  It was snowing enough that you could like, catch it or whatever, but not enough to wanna go play in it.

So 2 hours or so later, we emerge from the bowling alley to find our car covered in snow.  The snow is now falling much heavier.  Heavy enough that when we were driving home, it made me feel like I was watching one of the space screen savers you used to get with Windows ’98.

Anyway, we got home safe and sound and took a couple of photos of me and Lily in the front yard, during our first snow fall.  These may or may not be posted at some undisclosed time in the near, or not so near, future.  Only time will tell.

This morning I awoke to find the ground still covered with a reasonable amount of snow, snow all over the cars (that would be ours and Bill’s) and a light dusting on the road.  I must say, this has been a strange and yet somewhat whimsical experience.  I can’t wait to see a heavy snowfall.
