This song was written for some friends of mine for their wedding. It was eventually played during the signing of the register.

The main idea I had for this song was for it to be a kind of narrative of the actual wedding day.  The first verse is written from the bride’s perspective.  She’s walking down the aisle saying “Look at me!”, as is the norm for the wedding day.  At the same time, she’s thinking to her self “Wow! Finally, the moment I’ve been waiting my entire life for has finally arrived.  I’ve found the man of my dreams!”

The second verse is from the groom’s perspective, as he stands at the altar while she is ushered toward him, speechless and awestruck. For him, there is no one else in the room, just him and his bride.

The hook (or chorus) is simply a joint declaration from the bride and groom, saying “My search is over. I’ve found my someone special.” It also acknowledges the intent of “‘Til death do us part” in the last line: Forever just began.

The third, and final, verse picks up where the hook leaves off, reinforcing the idea that from this day forth, we, the couple, will live together as one flesh, ’til death do us part.
